Approaches to Innovation - The Peter Drucker Model | Webster University @ The Venture Café Gathering (James Crutchfield) | St. Louis | Missouri | United States

This workshop is designed to explore one of the most important concepts drawn from Drucker’s 39 books: creating a truly innovative organization.
Let’s begin by turning our attention to the video screen. As Peter Drucker makes clear, innovation is something that isn’t just for start-ups and it transcends the
realm of high-tech and the R&D lab. It’s up to everyone in an organization to look for opportunities to innovate. What does your organization do to help encourage this mind-set? The seven sources of innovation opportunity is presented. Can you think of an opportunity for innovation that you or your organization missed? Why do you think that happened? How could you and/or the organization ensure that you don’t miss such opportunities in the future?
