Join us to hear Drs. Kathleen Meacham and Robert W. Gereau IV speak about exciting advancements in neuromodulation therapies for pain relief. Dr. Meacham will talk about using electronic medicine to uncover and refine the ways in which stimulation devices are providing pain relief. Dr. Gereau will discuss a promising new approach for pain relief called “optogenetics” which uses light to manipulate genetically-specified cells and circuits in the nervous system and the development of light sources that can be implanted in the body, including the brain, to deliver on-demand therapy.
