New Uses for Old Things: Ancient Immune System Used for New Therapies | Washington University @ The Venture Café Gathering (Havana) | St. Louis | Missouri | United States

Our speakers for November are Drs. Aaron DiAntonio and Jeffrey Milbrandt. They will be discussing their discovery of a new family of enzymes and their role in maintaining neural circuitry that has led to new treatments for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Unexpectedly, these enzymes have been identified as being part of an ancient immune system and have great potential to improve human health.
