Pain Points in the Tech-Talent Pipeline - Employers' Perspectives | WiserU @ Venture Café Thursday Gathering (Havana) | St. Louis | Missouri | United States

Companies are increasingly encountering tech talent shortages that are slowing their business growth. In this panel discussion, company representatives will talk about how the lack of available talent is hurting their businesses. They will also discuss innovative solutions to the problem. Additionally, they will exchange ideas with attendees about how St. Louis could be a model to the rest of the nation in solving the tech talent shortage and getting people hired.

Kathy Bernard, CEO of WiserU/Career Coach/Business LinkedIn Trainer, will moderate. The panel is expected to include:
• Mark Arnold, Engineering Account Manager & Diversity and Inclusion Chair at Aerotek, will discuss the challenges from a tech recruiters perspective.
• Matt Ashley, Joint Force Expert at Booz Allen will talk about the tech hiring challenges and solutions to the shortages from a major company perspective.
• Jason Boone, Military Recruiting & Critical Talent Sourcing Leader at Lockheed Martin will share perspectives from a recruiter who hires transitioning military and veterans into tech positions. He also has a corporate and agency background so has seen recruiting from several perspectives.
• LaShana Lewis, Diversity Consultant (as well as Director of Aerospace IT at Astral AR, LLC | CTO at MultiPass), will discuss the challenges from the perspective of under-represented communities.
• Melony Tanko, president of Kypher, a cloud-based security company, will talk about the situation from a newer/smaller startup company perspective.
